As I was approaching an era in my life where I had some time to spare, I wanted to support my local community in some way.

Having heard what the Butterfly Effect did through friends I didn’t hesitate in offering my time to volunteer.

I currently help out on a Thursday evening.  Joining in board games and taking time to chat to everyone that comes.

In my spare time I enjoy exploring the countryside; especially mountain walks in Wales. I am a keen, but amateur, conservationist and gardener with focus on cultivating sustainable vegetables. So who knows, when I retire I may have time to volunteer at the Mindful Gardening Group as well.
