August blog
I hope you are all well. It has not been the best start to the year and certainty not one that we envisioned! I am so pleased to announce that the support and social groups are now open 😊. I am so happy that I am now able to offer this, face to face. This is every Tuesday 11am-1pm. I will keep you updated on the Facebook page/group and Instagram of anything we are doing in the coming weeks. You can come in and join in on some of the activities we have, which may include arts and crafts, walking groups, quizzes, gardening, learning new skills. We are also on hand to help with anything you may be struggling with and if we can not help, we will do our best to point you in the right direction, so someone can. We will have tea, coffee and cakes every week, so if you just want to pop in for coffee and cake, that is also fine, you do not have to join in at all. I know some people find it hard to interact sometimes, but like the company, we will not force you to join in. If you struggle to get to the groups please do get in contact, I will try my hardest to get you to them or arrange to meet you previously. I know how it feels to go to a new place or walk in somewhere that has people you do not know and the anxiety that comes with it. Please know this is a place of safety and non-judgement. I look forward to being able to meet you in person and welcome you into the lovely space we have.
Please note that the mediation is only on during the evening 7pm-8pm during school holidays. This has a charge of £5 per session, this is also great for mindfulness and to decrease anxiety.
All groups are held at David Livingstone club, 11 Potter Street, Harlow, Essex, CM17 9AE. When you get to the main house, look to the right and you will see a path, follow that down and it will take you to the club around the back.
I am so grateful to be able to bring the groups to you all. Please do contact me if you are struggling and I will do all I can to help. Please do not suffer in silence. Please take care.
